[ Découpage Gel Glue-A: Sustained Viscous ]

[ Feature and Instruction ]

This product is different from the ordinary glue as itˇ¦s in jelly mode. Please apply the coating on object evenly when use. It will take some more time on drying. The advantage of this product is able to take time on pasting, and not easy to get crumple on paper. However, it will take time on drying after pasting (Suggest to set over 48 hours in room temperature. It does not matter whether the object is dried completely by using hair dryer or not. The main point on longer drying time is that need to make sure A Sustained Viscous has enough time on agglutination effect on object.)

"Glue A" keeps stickiness still after dry (the best adhesion force in glue kind), therefore, you can take time on composition of pictures during pasting process (should cover the object with some proper goods in order to avoid the dust which might affect the stickiness). Apply "Glue B" on top of pictures in radial direction from the center of paper. Also please note "Glue A" and "Glue B" should be exceeded around 0.5cm from the paper edges. The apply area of "Glue B" should be bigger than "Glue A" in order to provide similar effects of lamination. Then wipe the extra glue toward the edges at final stage, and make sure itˇ¦s dried completely.

This product can apply on most of fabrics directly with water free. Use "Glue A" on back side of the picture and stick on fabric surface. Then apply "Glue B" evenly on top of the picture and set the object in a cool environment for 48 hours before wash.

The hair dryer can be used for shortening the drying time, then iron the object gently about 10 - 15 seconds (remember to switch the steam function off). Also, the object can be washed wash when it's cool enough. However, please note that it will take at least 48 hours to complete the solidification process, therefore, should not force to scrub the object.

[ Additional information ]

1. No need to get "Glue A" dry completely as it might abate the stickiness. Based on our experiments, just keep "Glue A" in semi-dry condition and not get glue in hand when touch the object. Also, you can work on many pieces at the same time when use "Glue A". No need to waste time on waiting for "Glue A" to get dry. Just leave the piece in a clean place and go ahead working on next piece. You can go back to the first piece for pasting when finish applying "Glue A" on last piece of work. Most of handcraft aficionados usually paste the pictures on object while "Glue A" is completely dried which will not be able to stick tightly. It has nothing to do with the quality of glue but with the incorrect hearsay information.

2. Only use "Glue A" on fabric which needs to be washed frequently, such as T-shirt, clothes, etc. However, please apply only "Glue B" on canvas bag, no need for "Glue A".

3. The additional function, also considered as disadvantage, of "Glue A" is kept stickiness still after dry. Therefore, you can slow down the paste speed and reset the pictures after gluing. It's a helpful tip for beginner or making a complicate and big composition of pictures.

4. Do not use any type of glue on collage when use 40g paper and should use mucilage instead. The glue at bottom will not easily to smear evenly when uses thick paper. It will cause the problem with lumpy surface on the piece. There is no need to worry about the crumple problem by using thick paper; therefore, gel glue is not necessary for thick paper object.

5. Do not use "Glue A" on glass and ceramics objects for collage purpose as it will cause the problems of glue mark and bubbles which it's difficult to take care of. The object will not look nice at all. Also, the object will get damage easily when face thermal expansion and contraction situation because of bubble problem.

6. If you need a bulletin board at office or home, just use the shortcoming of "Glue A" which keeps stickiness still after dry. Apply "Glue A" on wall, screen, cupboard or window, and a simple bulletin board is done. You can stick or remove paper note at any time which saves money and convenient.

Advise on usage of "Glue A / Glue B" or "Glue A / Glue C" adhesiveˇG

1. Suitable for all fabric materials. First apply "Glue A" onto the body, then stick on the paper; press the paper flat against the body, and apply "Glue B" evenly.

2. The applying range of "Glue A" and "Glue B" has to be at least 5mm wider than the paper to assure all edges are covered.

3. After pasting the paper, use a blow dryer set at low speed and temperature to dry it (stop when it feels dry to the touch of your finger tip) from a distance of at least 10cm; then iron for 5 to 10 secs (steam off). Wait at least 48 hrs before washing, it will last longer.

4. "Glue A" will still be sticky after it dries, so take your time when large areas needs to be pasted; you can even wait until it dries to stick the paper on, this way you can prevent the paper from wrinkling (because it is not as wet).

5. We use "Glue B" as an outer coating because "Glue A" remains sticky after it dries. Therefore, if you feel that having to change brushes is too much trouble (do not use the same brush for the two Glues), you may directly apply "Glue B", but this is only for small areas of collage or if you move very fast.

6. Since fabric can be pasted (without it stiffening), other materials can do so too. However, smooth surfaces without pores (glass, plastic, etc.) are not the best of choices. We suggest applying a layer of specialized primer-coating (made for use on glass or plastic) onto the surface of these materials before you start to decoupage

7. After applying "Glue B" onto the fabric, the work is complete, and the fabric can be washed without considering the long-term adhesion force of "Glue B". However, when handling other materials (such as wood) that need top coatings (fabric does not need to be painted), please do not apply the coatings immediately after pasting the collage, or the results will be disastrous.

8. If you are pasting other materials (especially materials with water and air contents such as wood), please be sure to squeeze out all the air, particularly when it comes to large areas of collage, otherwise there will be bubbles after applying top coatings due to surrounding temperature and humidity. Therefore, you must apply a layer of undercoats onto the wood (wooden materials and paper boards) to isolate the air and moisture in the material before you start to paste. Even so, there is no guarantee that bubbles won't appear (for example, when temperature rises instantly from -10 degrees to 450 degrees), because the air and moisture in materials are bound to exist; unless you have industrial equipment and environment, it is impossible for the materials to be well prepared.

9. Be careful not to let the glue stain on your clothes, it is nearly impossible to wash off, unless you use a steel brush, but then the cloth will be ruined. Thus, aprons and sleevelets are necessary.

10. Be sure to clean the brushes after use, otherwise the brush will be ruined after the glue dries. You can put the brush in water (the brush end totally soaked) after cleaning for at least 72h. If it is to be used during this time, simply dry the water off before use; afterwards, clean and preserve as above. A good brush should be able to be soaked in water for a long time. So don't be keen on gaining petty advantages and buy cheap products, it is quite wasteful in the long term.

[ Common Considerations ]ˇG

1. Please store in a cool place indoors and keep the cap tightly closed. Do not expose to direct sunlight or place in a high temperature environment to prevent deterioration or evaporation.

2. Do not add water or other solvents to dilute, so as not to damage the physical properties of the glue and affect the glue quality.

3. It is normal that there will be precipitation after a long time. Please stir it evenly before use to make it completely mixed.

4. Before gluing, please clean the surface oil or dust to avoid affecting the adhesion.

5. The hardening time of glue is about 1-3 days (depending on the temperature and humidity of the environment). If you need to test the water resistance, please test it after it is completely dry.

6. Although water-based glue can stick items on the fabric and has waterproof effect, do not use too rough brute force to scrub or rub, because even normal fabrics or materials cannot withstand such damage; the recommended method is Soak in cold detergent and press lightly with your hands, and do not use bleach, even the color-enhancing bleach that claims to be harmless to color. These Strong chemical cleaners are options that you should try to avoidˇC
